We designed the large Valeja Rain Ladle for true sauna enthusiasts and larger saunas. The generous 0.5-liter capacity delivers a powerful, Viking-worthy steam in a single pour. Thanks to its extended reach, you can enjoy the sculptural rain and soft steam comfortably and safely from a greater distance from the heater.
Valeja is a rain ladle crafted in Finland. It gives you full control over the pour and turns the beginning of the steam into a conscious moment.
What does Valeja do?
Valeja does not pour water onto the heater – it dispenses it as rain. The rain cover divides the water into several small streams, allowing the sauna to rise more softly and evenly, without splashing or sudden bursts of steam.
The result:

- a calmer rhythm.
Controlled rain
In a Valeja, the water stays inside the ladle until you decide otherwise.
The air hole in the handle acts as a simple valve. When your thumb closes the hole, water stops flowing, even though the rain head is down. When you move your thumb slightly, the bucket gets replacement air and the rain starts.
The movement is small. The moment is clear. The rain doesn’t start by accident – it starts when you’re ready.
Rain head
The rain head determines the duration, frequency and pattern of the rain.
Valeja comes with Anela – a steady and calm basic rain.

All parts are manufactured and finished in Finland.

What is a rain ladle?

How to use Valeja?
Fill the ladle normally. Keep the air hole in the handle closed with your thumb — the water stays in the bucket when the rain head is downwards. When you are ready, move your thumb slightly. The bucket receives replacement air and the water starts to rain.
Does the rain head come with it?
Yes. Anela is included.
Can I buy other heads later?
Yes. Ilae, Selua and Isara are sold separately.
Is Valeja suited for all heaters?
In practice, yes. Always use with care and from a safe distance.
