What is the principle behind the rain cover's operation?
The Anela rain cover, machined from aluminum, distributes water evenly and controllably onto the heater. The cover's operation is based on precise geometry: 23 through-holes, each 2.1 millimeters in diameter, create a consistent rain from the water flow. This optimized flow makes throwing water predictable and helps create a soft, lingering steam.

Precise flow, softer steam
The operation of the Valeja rain ladle is based on controlled water dispensing. When you lift your thumb off the handle's seal, air enters the ladle and water is released through the rain cover. The 23 precisely dimensioned holes (Ø 2.1 mm) of the Anela cover break the surface tension of the water and disperse the water mass into an even rain.

Because the water doesn't splash onto the sauna heater in one large mass, it has time to optimally evaporate on the surface of the stones. This changes the nature of the steam: instead of sudden and sharp heat, an even, long-lasting, and soft warmth is created in the sauna.

Designed to last
Valeja is made from high-quality and durable materials. The ladle body is made of black painted stainless steel and the handle is Finnish birch. The Anela rain cover is machined from aluminum, which ensures absolute precision of the hole geometry. The product is easy to keep clean: any lime scale that may accumulate on the rain cover can be removed with regular rinsing with water or, if necessary, with a mild vinegar solution.
