Terms of service

These terms apply to the valeja.eu online store and to orders placed through it. The seller is Oy Ansraatio Ab (Valeja), Business ID 3597401-6.

1. Use and information

By accepting these terms you confirm that you are of legal age in your country of residence. To place an order we need your email address and your billing, payment and delivery details. You are responsible for making sure that the information you give is correct and up to date.

2. Products

We aim to show the colours and images of our products as accurately as possible. Your screen settings may still affect how colours look. We may stop selling a product or limit the quantities sold. Your statutory rights regarding faulty products always apply.

3. Orders and conclusion of the contract

The products shown in the store are not a binding offer. When you click the order button, you place a binding order for the products in your cart. You immediately receive an automatic order confirmation by email, and the contract is concluded at that moment. Returns and exchanges follow our refund policy. Purchases are intended for your own or your household's use, not for commercial resale.

4. Prices and payment

Prices may change without notice. The price valid at the time of ordering applies and is shown in the order confirmation. Prices for orders delivered to Finland and other EU countries include VAT. Taxes and duties for other destinations are explained in our shipping policy: for example, prices for orders delivered to the United States include import duties, and in Canada the recipient pays local tax on delivery. Shipping costs are shown at checkout before payment.

Depending on the payment method, payments are processed by Shopify Payments or by Paytrail Oyj (Business ID 2122839-7) in cooperation with banks and credit institutions. When you pay through Paytrail, Paytrail Oyj appears as the payee on your bank or card statement and forwards the payment to us. Paytrail is a licensed payment institution. 5. Delivery

Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout and in our shipping policy. We are not liable for delays caused by force majeure, customs procedures or other circumstances beyond our control. The risk passes to you when you receive the goods.

6. Right of withdrawal and returns

As a consumer you always have the 14-day right of withdrawal under EU consumer law. In addition, we offer a 30-day return policy: within the EU returns are free of charge, outside the EU you pay the return shipping. Conditions and exceptions (such as individually engraved ladles) are set out in our refund policy.

7. Liability for defects and warranty

Statutory liability for defects under consumer law applies. If a product is faulty, you are entitled by law to have it repaired or replaced, to a price reduction or to cancel the purchase. In addition, our ladles have a five-year warranty against manufacturing and material defects. The warranty does not limit your statutory rights.

8. Limitation of liability

We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for personal injury and under product liability law. Otherwise our liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical of the contract. Mandatory consumer rights are not restricted.

9. Intellectual property

The trademarks, texts, images, graphics, designs and videos of the store belong to Valeja or its licensors. They may be used only for personal, non-commercial purposes. Copying, distribution or other use requires our written permission.

10. Third parties and Shopify

The store runs on the Shopify platform. For all purchases your contracting party is Oy Ansraatio Ab (Valeja), not Shopify. We are not responsible for the content of third-party websites or tools.

11. Privacy

The processing of personal data is described in our privacy policy.

12. Feedback and reviews

When you send us ideas, suggestions or reviews, we may use and publish them. Your feedback must not infringe the rights of third parties or contain unlawful content.

13. Errors on the website

The website may occasionally contain typing errors or inaccuracies, for example in prices, product descriptions or availability. We may correct them and, in the case of an obvious error, cancel the order. We will let you know and refund the amount paid. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

14. Prohibited use

The website may not be used for unlawful purposes, to infringe intellectual property rights, to transmit false information or to spread harmful code.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Finnish law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence. We hope you will contact us first. Consumers resident in Finland may refer a dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board (www.kuluttajariita.fi). Consumers in other EU countries may contact the European Consumer Centre.

16. Changes to these terms

The current version of these terms is always on this page. We may update the terms. Changes do not apply to orders already placed.
