“A masterpiece.”
95 cm long. The rain lands 55 cm from your thumb. Heavier to use.
There is a small air hole at the front of the handle. While your thumb covers it, no air can enter the cup and the water stays inside. Lift your thumb, air flows in and the water falls onto the stove as rain.

Throwing löyly is the most important moment of the sauna ritual. We wanted the water to reach the stove as a sculpturally beautiful rain, with the person holding the ladle in full control.
We spent five years looking for a more beautiful way to let water meet the stones. We set out to make a ladle no one had seen before: rain that leaves the ladle as a sculpture. The Valeja Sadekauha is our vision of the finest sauna ladle in the world.
Valeja is our contribution to sauna culture, one beautiful gesture at a time.
Valeja comes from the Finnish verb valaa, to pour. It refers to the moment water is poured onto the stones and löyly is born.
The Sadekauha suits every sauna and every hand. The Mestari is a second ladle for hotter löyly, so you can choose the ladle to suit the moment. For sauna masters and Aufguss professionals, the Mestari is a tool that can be seen from the back row. The Pitkä Mestari is the same Mestari, 20 cm longer: for when the stove is out of reach.

The ladles to scale, cups aligned. The circle marks where your thumb sits. The measurement is the distance from your thumb to the centre of the rain.
